Dr Dennis Koh is a skilled general and colorectal surgeon with extensive experience, having performed over ten thousand endoscopic procedures throughout his career.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom and later earned a Master of Medicine in Surgery from the National University of Singapore. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Medical Science.
Recognised for his dedication and expertise, Dr Koh was awarded the SingHealth Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Award, which allowed him to further specialise in colorectal training at the renowned Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève (HUG) in Switzerland.
Before establishing his own practice, Dr Koh served as a Consultant Surgeon at the Singapore General Hospital, one of the nation's most progressive and comprehensive centres for colorectal care.
In addition to his clinical achievements, Dr Koh is deeply passionate about medical education and the training of future generations of general surgeons. He is an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore. As a Core Faculty Member of the SingHealth General Surgery Residency Programme, he plays an integral role in shaping the curriculum and guiding surgical trainees.
His commitment to education extends beyond local institutions, as he regularly conducts surgical training workshops both locally and overseas. Over the years, his students and trainees have consistently given him positive reviews, reflecting his dedication to nurturing talent and sharing knowledge.
Dr Koh is skilled in both open and minimally invasive colorectal surgery. He believes that each procedure should be personalised to each patient’s unique needs and preferences with minimal disruption to their lives.
His proficiency includes laparoscopic surgery, single-port surgery, advanced robotic surgery, and transanal endoscopic operations. Beyond surgical interventions, Dr Koh also excels in advanced endoscopic procedures, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care.
